Fees & Rebates

It is important to Allora that mental health support be accessible and not create additional stress and anxiety.

Once you have finally found the courage to ask for help, we ensure you are able to speak with someone to talk you through your options and book in an appointment without having to wait weeks or even months.

Payment Options & Fees

Payment options and fees can get a little confusing depending on how you are referred. There are four main referral pathways and payment options for Allora:

  • Self-referred – full fee-paying.

  • GP or Psychiatrist referred – MHCP with Medicare rebate.

  • Support Coordinator referred – NDIS funding.

  • Community Order or Parole Requirements – Corrections Victoria.

Funding for Allora counselling sessions may be utilised from your NDIS budget, only if you are Self Managed or Plan Managed.

Please note NDIS funding cannot be utilised if you are Agency Managed (NDIA managed).

Individual sessions (50 minutes) attract a fee of $170 during business hours and $190 for after hours appointments. If you obtain a MHCP and referral from your GP or Psychiatrist you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $98.95 per session, for up to ten sessions per calendar year, that leaves an out-of-pocket gap cost of $71.05 during business hours and $91.05 for after hours sessions.

Private sessions are available if you do not have a MHCP or if you choose to continue treatment after the 10 sessions per calendar year provided under your MHCP. If you have private health insurance, you may be eligible for a rebate under your provider.

In line with our values, we attempt to make accessing treatment affordable and accessible. Our fees are significantly lower than the Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommendation of $311 per session.
